Welcome to “how draw eyes.” This blog will help you draw eyes, mouths, noses, or any other small details that you want to learn about. For the next few weeks we will be studying the different ways eyes are drawn. It is my hope that by the end of this discussion we will have learned to draw eyes quickly, easily, and with a touch of professionalism.
The name How Draw Eyes comes from the fact that many people take a shortcut when doing a search for information on how to draw eyes and don’t type ‘to’ between ‘how’ and ‘draw eyes.’ In the same way, people can get lazy in their art and take shortcuts in their drawing. In the same way that “how draw eyes” is uncomfortable to read, leaving out important details in your drawings can be uncomfortable to look at.
There are many different kinds of ways to draw eyes, both in the real work and in the art world. There are many styles of eye that you can use including realistic, manga and cartoon. Eyes draw you into a character more than any other factual feature. Therefore it is important for you to learn the proper way to draw them in whatever style you want.
Many artists only have one style and will only teach you one way to draw eyes. I have studied many different eye styles and will pass that knowledge on to you. In the following posts I will take you through the various ways to draw eyes and how to add expressions. Many drawing will accompany the art to help you through the process.
